Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Solution Architect – Java & Cloud Platforms to join their team. As a Senior Solution Architect – Java & Cloud Platforms, you will be part of the Architecture and Development Department supporting the Payments Platform team. Job Title: Senior Solution Architect – Java & Cloud Platforms Location: Charlotte, NC Schedule: Hybrid What's the Job? Design and develop scalable, high-performance payment processing solutions within a modernized platform. Collaborate with business partners and enterprise architects to define architecture and design standards. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in cloud-native and microservices architecture. Lead efforts in cloud modernization, focusing on AWS, cloud-native, and cloud-agnostic solutions. Create high-level design documents, architecture roadmaps, and technology adoption guidelines to support strategic initiatives. What's Needed? 15+ years of overall experience with at least 10 years in solution architecture. Extensive experience in cloud modernization, preferably with AWS, and a strong understanding of cloud-native and cloud-agnostic solutions. Proven expertise in true solutions design, including domain-driven design and microservices architecture. Strong background in Java development, with secondary skills in Kafka and container deployment strategies such as RedHat OpenShift. Experience with modern tech stacks including cloud platforms, OpenShift, Kafka, MongoDB, or CockroachDB. What's in it for me?
