As an evaluator, the Speech-Language Pathologist will work with members of the IEP Team to order, complete, and report on speech-language therapy evaluation.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive speech-language therapy evaluations that include but are not limited to the assessment of language, voice, fluency, articulation, and social communicationCollect data by use of informal or non standardized evaluation techniquesInterpret and utilize assessment data for the purpose of writing reports and developing written intervention plansEnsure that a written evaluation that comports with Chapter 101 is completed in a timely mannerEnsure that evaluation findings are reported to the IEP teamAttend IEP meetings, as requestedContribute recommendations to the IEP team to consider when making decisions and/or developing plansAssist the IEP team with goal development based upon assessment resultsQualifications/SkillsExperience working with students with autism, developmental delays, and pragmatic language/social skills needs within a comprehensive modelSkilled active listeningEmpathy and patienceCreativity and adaptabilityRequirementsBackground check, including fingerprintingMaine Department of Education CHRC ApprovalCertification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of MainePay and BenefitsPay starts at $26,343 per year with possibility of increase based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contractHealth Insurance (including Vision)Dental Insurance (100% Employee paid)7.5 Sick Days1.5 Personal DaysFSAEligible to contribute to a 403(b) retirement planThis is a Maine PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) covered positionAbout Five Town Community School District and Camden Rockport SchoolsThe Five Town CSD and Camden Rockport Schools are exceptional school districts located in a scenic coastal community and provide one of the highest salary and benefits packages for teachers in the state of Maine.
