Background in roadway, hydrology, and hydraulics design on both traditional and alternative delivery projects including experience in urban and rural environments, design of roadway elements, multi-modal facilities, light rail, intersection layout, multi-use paths, drainage, utilities, and walls. This role focuses on design execution, permitting coordination, and early construction readiness for mission-critical facilities.The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience supporting new data center construction, with a strong understanding of how permitting, design maturity, and jurisdictional requirements impact project schedules and construction sequencing.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the owner's representative for new data center construction projects, managing design and pre-construction activities.Lead and coordinate permitting strategy, including:Impact of permitting on design decisions and sequencingManagement of permit comments, resubmittals, inspections, and approvalsCoordinate across internal and external stakeholders, including:AHJs and utility providersCivil, structural, architectural, and MEP engineersFire protection, environmental, and construction partnersEnsure design packages reach appropriate maturity for permit submissions and construction start.Manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, risk registers, and decision logs.Drive constructability reviews and value-engineering initiatives.Support scope changes, contract amendments, and design-related negotiations.Produce recurring project status and interface reports.Maintain document control and manage the full design documentation lifecycle.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (required - but experience can compensate).Proven Project Management experience supporting new data center or mission-critical facility construction.Strong knowledge of permitting types, including:Site, civil, building, electrical, mechanicalFire/life safety, environmental, and utility approvalsDemonstrated understanding of:How permitting impacts design maturity, schedules, and construction readinessRegional code differences and jurisdictional requirementsExperience coordinating with AHJs, utilities, design consultants and construction teams.Ability to manage multiple workstreams, budgets, schedules, and project risk.Experience supporting large-scale or hyperscale data center environments.Familiarity with construction administration and as-built documentation.
