You'll be responsible for equipment maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement projects while working closely with the Plant Manager and Owners.If you enjoy problem-solving, working with machinery, and being part of a collaborative production team, this role offers stability, growth, and real impact.What You'll DoPerform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifeEnsure all production equipment is ready and safe for daily startupDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issuesLead root cause analysis for recurring equipment problems and implement corrective actionsSupport production, QA, and leadership teams to meet performance, safety, and quality goalsTrain operators on basic troubleshooting, safe equipment handling, and autonomous maintenanceTrack parts inventory, equipment BOMs, and maintenance documentationPerform welding, cutting, and light fabrication (MIG/TIG preferred)Identify improvement projects that increase reliability, efficiency, and safetyMaintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and follow all GMP, GSP, and safety standardsCommunicate maintenance status and priorities with Plant Manager and OwnersSupport additional plant needs as assignedWhat We're Looking ForHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 3 years mechanical or maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred)Experience with preventive maintenance systems and equipment troubleshootingMIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication skills strongly preferredAbility to read mechanical drawings and maintenance documentationFamiliarity with GMPs, food safety, and sanitation proceduresComfortable using computers for inventory tracking and maintenance logsStrong teamwork and communication skillsDetail-oriented, organized, dependable, and safety-focusedSelf-motivated with a continuous improvement mindsetPhysical RequirementsStanding, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing regularlyLift up to 50 lbs routinely; up to 100 lbs with assistanceAble to work safely around machinery and food allergens (tree nuts, dairy, eggs, sesame)Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
