Worship and Creative Arts Director (Full Time)

At The Gathering Community Church, worship is about creating space for people to encounter God. Join us as a Worship & Creative Arts Director who leads with both heart and creativity—someone who builds teams, shapes meaningful services, and creates environments where authentic worship happens consistently. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Senior Pastor and leadership team to lead worship, oversee production, and bring the vision of the church to life each week.What You’ll Do Lead worship regularly on Sundays and at special events, shaping service flow, music, and creative elementsPartner with the Senior Pastor and leadership team (weekly) to plan cohesive, engaging services and champion spiritual depth and excellenceRecruit, schedule, onboard and mentor musicians, vocalists, and production volunteers, building a healthy and team-oriented cultureProvide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to Creative Arts teamsOversee all production teams/areas including audio, lighting (Light key), video, and livestream, ensuring high-quality executionManage Planning Center, scheduling, budget, licenses (CCLI), and creative tools (Loop Community/Prime Tracks) with strong stewardshipMaintain and improve technical systems, equipment, and workflows to support consistent, engaging experiencesLive out The Gathering’s staff expectations as outlined in the Employee Handbook and conduct daily activities in alignment with our Core ValuesHelp build and develop a youth worship team alongside the Youth PastorSupport special services and church-wide eventsDevelop and responsibly manage the Creative Arts budgetAssist with social media and creative content as neededYou’d Be a Great Fit If You…Are a strong vocalist and play at least one instrument (guitar or keys preferred)Have experience leading worship and/or creative or production teamsAre comfortable with tools like Planning Center, ProPresenter, or similar platformsAre organized, communicative, and detail-orientedHave a heart for ministry, team development, and the local churchDemonstrate spiritual maturity, personal growth, and alignment with The Gathering’s Core values and handbook Weekly RhythmLead worship on SundaysConduct weekly band practice with volunteersMeet with Senior Staff to plan and discuss servicesAbout usThe Gathering Community Church is passionate about impacting people to impact the world in the name and to the glory of Jesus Christ.Creative Arts Ministry PurposeThe Creative Arts ministry will create worship environments and experiences that invite people to journey towards intimacy with God and give followers of Jesus a worship experience that will encourage them as they join in Jesus’ mission.Our Core ValuesWe will celebrate boldly and worship dailyWe will make DisciplesWe will love all and serve allWe will give (in accordance to what God has given us)We will pray (like it depends on God and work like it depends on us)Want to know more, check us out at https://www.thegathering.cc/about-us/Application Questions: What instruments are you proficient in?Can you provide an example of a creative project you initiated?
