Company DescriptionSmall NJ law office in Fort Lee, NJ with busy probate and estate practice.Role DescriptionThis is a part time on-site role for an experienced Probate/Estate Paralegal in a small Law Firm located in Fort Lee, NJ (Bergen County). The Probate/Estate Paralegal will assist attorneys with preparing legal documents required in the probating of estates, conducting legal research, tracking down and marshalling assets, preparing informal accountings, and reviewing and organizing documents related to probate and estate matters. Additional responsibilities include managing case files, communicating with clients, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.QualificationsKnowledge and understanding of how to probate estates in NJ and related legal principlesProficiency in legal document preparation and document reviewStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to conduct thorough and efficient researchDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsParalegal certification preferred but not requiredRelevant legal experience of at least 3 years of prior experience in probate or estate law is required
