Role: AssemblyLocation: Tempe, AZDuration: 12 months (possible extension / possible conversion)Pay Range: $19/hr - $21.50/hr on W2Shift: Compressed shift Sun-Wed/5:45AM-6PM Every other Wed offDESCRIPTION:Assembly B - Exhaust ProcessorCompressed shift Sun-Wed/5:45AM-6PM Every other Wed offThe Exhaust Processor's primary function is to operate and oversee tube process stations and associated vacuum and electronic equipment to manufacture intensifier tube components.The Exhaust Processor uses hand tools to remove numerous stainless-steel bolts to access and remove finished product from the vacuum and electronic equipment.The Exhaust Processor will unload and reload the systems without damaging the fragile tubes or the equipment.This position will be responsible for performing various routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities. This position has considerable physical demands.The incumbent will adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform the exhaust process on components to achieve quality and yield goals set by the Exhaust department.THE EXHAUST PROCESS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:Produce a quality product that meets the customer specifications and maintain sufficient inventory to satisfy our internal and external customersInterprets data from Analytical/ Diagnostics equipment to make sound decisions based on relevant factsMust be able to follow written procedures and complete assigned work in a timely manner to keep production schedule while maintaining acceptable yields as determined by area supervisors and engineersKnowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to the jobUtilize a variety of hand tools and follows written process procedures for intensifier image tube processingMonitor data from various meters and sensing devices that measure vacuum, temperature, and torqueMaintain accurate record entry through use of onsite Quality Tracking System (QTS)Define complex equipment issues and quality levels while informing engineering of any process, component, etc. that deviate from normal processingAdhere to best vacuum and clean room practicesPerform other duties as requiredDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Related manufacturing work experience; 1-3 years preferredMust be able to wear clean room attire and work in a clean roomDemonstrate speed and accuracy in accomplishing trained tasksMust have strong problem solving and analytical skillsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office)Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control)Must be able to work alone and with others in a team environmentPrevious experience with ultra-high vacuum technology and/or semiconductor processing desired (OJT provided)Must be able to multi-task while monitoring multiple exhaust stationsAbility to become familiar with Six Sigma problem solving tools, 5S+1, and Lean methodologiesAbility to obtain Security Clearance.Successful candidate will be required to start and receive a security clearance in 6 months from hire date.
