Supervisory IT Specialist - Network (Chief National Network Communications Support Section)

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Some examples of this qualifying experience are:Experience in managing and overseeing the work of a team or individual employees, providing guidance, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed effectively.Experience as acting as a liaison between employees and upper management, to include planning work schedules, coordinating tasks, providing performance feedback, and reporting to upper management.Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks within organizations, ensuring reliable and secure communication between devices, to include configuring network hardware, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing agency information security measures on the network infrastructure.Experience in developing and implementing Information Technology policies that align with agency standards, ensuring network infrastructure security, and managing budgets.Experience in strategic planning, aligning technology with business goals, and overseeing Information Technology (IT) projects.Selective FactorApplicants applying for this position must also possess the following Selective Factor. In the event you do not possess the Selective Factor, you will be found ineligible for the position.Applicants must have the following:Two (2) years of experience working in a network environment comprised of a predominantly Cisco routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure. Experience includes demonstrating proficiency in the configuration and implementation of Cisco Internetwork Operating System (IOS), Cisco Nexus Software (X-OS), Identity Services Engine (ISE), and Firewall Security Appliances.J-18808-Ljbffr
