The program fulfills NASA goals by supporting NASA deep space mission set, including NASA-funded missions and collaborative international missions.About The RolePeraton is seeking an IT Engineer to assist with maintaining our development infrastructure. Our organization develops TT&C and Satellite Mission Management and Scheduling software in support of our mission critical customers and the OS/COMET COTS software product.Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting various IT infrastructures and tools, ensuring that all technology works efficiently, securely, and is properly maintained. The candidate needs to have a solid technical background and the ability to manage complex IT systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operation of all hardware, software, and network systems.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degreeAdditional 4 years of experience will be considered in leiu of a degreeExperience in IT support, system/network administration or a similar roleExperience with using the Linux operating systemKnowledge of CyberSecurity practicesProblem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quicklyAbility to obtain a Public Trust Sec Clearance - U.S. citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Working Knowledge of:IT automation tools and scriptingAWSGeneral NetworkingRed Hat OpenShiftOS/COMET TT&C ProductAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectivelyDetailsTarget Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
