Mental Health/Homeless Coordinator - part time - two days a weekCandidates must have a Masters degree in administration, counseling, social work, or related fieldMaine Department of Education certification in administration, school counseling, social work Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teamsExperience in working with agencies who provide therapeutic interventions with children and familiesExperience in working with school personnel and/or in school settingsExperience with creating and positively supporting / maintaining systems changeComputer experience and basic computer fluencyAn ability to work independently and in cooperation with othersStrong organizational skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills in working with diverse populationsFlexibility in assigned work hoursA commitment to public health approaches, community collaboration, and client empowermentAn energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex workplace.Brief Job DescriptionWork closely with the district homeless and foster care liaisonAttend trainings on the McKinney Vento lawMeet with students and/or families who are experieincing homelessness to connect with resources.Monitor and support the communication and utilization of wrap-around services for students with homeless and or mental health challenges .Provide technical support to schools and communities on mental health services, interventions, referrals, programming andSupport students, families, and schools by coordinating with counseling agencies, caseworkers, probation officers, community and support services, Work with other agencies to share information and coordinate services.Coordinate, support, and oversee district mental health programs such as Sources of StrengthAssist the District and schools in identifying gaps in mental health
