Job Description Therapist-Owned and Operated!Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a vital role in supporting licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitative care. This position focuses on helping patients recover from injury or surgery, manage chronic conditions, and regain independence through personalized therapy interventions.Working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the PTA implements treatment plans, monitors patient progress, and adjusts therapeutic activities to maximize outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, compassionate patient interaction, and effective communication with the healthcare team.Key Responsibilities:Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditionsPerform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation)Monitor patient responses to treatment and document progress accuratelyCommunicate patient status, concerns, and progress with the supervising Physical TherapistEducate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and proper use of assistive devicesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environmentEnsure all equipment is properly maintained and sanitizedRequirements:Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent state PTA license in good standingMinimum of 1 year of home health experience preferredCurrent AHA CPR certificationValid driver’s license and reliable transportationValid auto insuranceExperience with HomeCare HomeBase preferredPhysical Demands:Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, crawl, and squat for extended periodsAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs
