$5,000 Welcome Bonus (FT)The Staff Physical Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, is at all times responsible to follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in-home care, to follow the treatment set only as defined by the Physical Therapist; to perform only those procedures that he/she is qualified and trained to perform and to make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Physical Therapist.You will:Following the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait training, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic trainingObserves, records, and reports to the supervising PT, the supervising nurse, and/or the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's conditionInstructs patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy in which they can participate to assist the patientVisits patient according to Plan of Treatment; complete a daily note for each visitParticipates in developing the Plan of Treatment as needed with communication with the supervising Physical TherapistAdheres to Therapy Standards of Practice in the provision of services to all patientsReports to the Physical Therapist information relating to the patient's progress, complication, and /or response to treatmentAssist Physical Therapist in performing procedures, tests, and complex treatment to ensure the safe, effective evaluation and treatment of patients Benefits of an In-House Therapy Staff Model:Aligned Mission and Values - Shared company values of Integrity, Respect, Commitment to Excellence, Accountability, and Teamwork.
