Champion a "safety first" mindset consistently • Actively participate in or independently conduct interviews for new operators • Recommend the hiring of new operators to management. • Uses independent discretion in the evaluation and determination of the recommendation of hiring new operators. • Determine suitability of candidates for operator positions • Evaluate and approve operators’ preparedness for service prior to graduating into revenue service • Conduct observational spot checks on operators, assessing their safety, driving, and customer service skills. • Monitor operator and passenger behavior during service. • Ensure operators are fit-for-duty at all times. • Provide on-the-spot coaching, training, and evaluations to help operators overcome operational challenges and comply with company policies and client specifications. • Perform on-road observations to verify the proper implementation of policies and procedures, reporting safety conditions that may impact safety, service, or routes • Support or perform all necessary disciplinary actions up to and including terminations for policy or procedural violations that occur while operator is in revenue service • Engage in face-to-face communication with the riding public to address customer service inquiries and on-the-ground questions. • Initiate investigations into accidents, interview operators to determine responsibility, take necessary actions, and submit reports to management. • Recommend the discipline of operators to management based on investigation findings. • Uses independent discretion in the evaluation of violations of safety policies and RATP-Dev policies in their recommendations of discipline to management. • Collaborate with dispatch to ensure efficient operations, timeliness, vehicle swaps, and facilitate communication with the shop as needed. 11544878v1 • Actively participate in campaign trainings and safety programs. • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports. • Conduct site checks and road observations in accordance with client and local policies, documenting findings and providing necessary reports to the safety manager. • Perform wheelchair securement and vehicle cleanliness checks on in-service vehicles. • Monitor street operations for on-time performance, schedule adherence, and route compliance. • Respond to accidents and incidents, assisting in managing the situation, collecting required information, and supporting dispatch and operations staff in resuming service. • Accompany operators to medical facilities after accidents or injuries, random testing, ensuring proper administration of post-accident drug and alcohol testing. • Conduct checks at pull-out or pull-in times, ensuring on-time service and proper completion of necessary paperwork, including pre- and post-trip inspections. • Identify potential rerouting needs due to traffic, construction, or accidents. • Verify that all operators meet fitness for duty standards, uniform and equipment requirements, and possess proper licensing and certifications. • Assist operators with service or passenger issues. • Aid dispatch and maintenance staff with field vehicle change-outs. • Provide feedback to safety and operations departments on service-related matters affecting safety and performance, identifying potential hazards for incorporation into daily operations procedures. • Assist during adverse weather conditions, ensuring operators safety and responding appropriately to challenges. • Accurately document all field observations and ensure proper file maintenance. • Continues to take advantage of ongoing education, lectures, seminars and training resources to improve personal and professional growth and knowledge. • Additional duties and task may be assigned The Compliance Monitors plays a crucial role in upholding service performance and addressing daily concerns related to safety, training, coaching, routes, customer issues, vehicle problems, and the Operator's efficiency. They report directly to the Safety Manager and spend approximately 95% of their time in the field. In addition, they function as supervisors for Operators, overseeing customer response, conducting driver field evaluations, and serving as first-responders in case of incidents and accidents.
