The patient is cognitively aware and enjoys good company from a respectful, professional caregiver. Professional attire expected. Our family deeply values a CNA who brings both skill and compassion to hospice care.ResponsibilitiesAssist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Safely transfer and reposition the patient using a Hoyer Lift (experience preferred; training available). Lifting necessary to assist with out of the home appointments to doctors and other specialist.Take and accurately record blood pressureAssist with toileting and personal hygiene needs. Assess perennial skin integrity.Prepare pureed meals according to dietary requirements and kitchen clean upPerform light housekeeping & garbage removal in home & to curbside for pickup Complete laundry duties for the patientProvide compassionate companionship and emotional supportMaintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment in patient areasFollow hospice care plans, safety standards, and infection control protocolsQualificationsCurrent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standingExperience with hospice, post-stroke, amputee, or bed-ridden patients preferred but not requiredAbility or willingness to learn safe use of a Hoyer LiftAbility to take and document blood pressureReliable, patient, compassionate, and professional careOpen to training for certain preferred skills / Training provided for Home Health Care Aides without CNABackground Check Requirement:FBI background check required prior to hireBackground checks may be completed at:Livescan MD1401 Mercantile Lane, Suite 251Largo, MD 20774Phone: (240) 600-1448
