We are GROWING our fleet of tractor/trailers - come join a THRIVING company!Martin Transportation Systems is looking for a Mobile Maintenance Technician!We offer a great benefit package to all our employees; as well as offer a great team and work environment!Mobile Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic Needed for road calls on tractors and trailersJob TypeFull-time1st shiftMonday through Thursday/ 6am - 5p, with an hour lunchRequired ExperienceMechanic: 1 yearDiesel Mechanic: 1 yearWe offer excellent benefits and a safe work environment for all of our employees.MTS will be providing a stocked service truck and the necessary shop tools but the candidate will need their own mechanics hand and power tools.The Right Maintenance Technician Will Have The FollowingASE certified or equivalent experienceEXCELLENT communication skills Fluent use of Class 8 softwareSome experience as a Diesel Mechanic repairing trucks and/or trailersBe able to diagnose, repair and perform general maintenanceExperience working with Detroit and Cummins EnginesBe able to perform general maintenance on our recent model fleet of Volvo and Freightliner TractorsBe able to perform general maintenance on our recent model fleet of trailersTrailer repairs, services, washes, yard check, etc.Light computer work also requestedMust have your own basic toolsGood driving record necessaryPay based on experienceBe self motivated and able to work independentlyComply with Safety and liability guidelines and policiesUse appropriate protective safety equipment to ensure safe operation of machines and regular toolsPreform a variety manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending and squattingMust be willing to work outside in the elements.BENEFITS**Medical, dental & vision offered401k with 25% company match (eligible at 6 months)Vacation and holiday pay$25,000 in company paid life insurance offeredShort-term and long-term disability availableBoot, tool and cold weather gear reimbursement1 week of vacation upon hire
