Join the top team on the waterfront, working for unrivaled compensation and benefits.Minimum Education: (one of the following)\nCompletion of formal two-year or more contractor apprenticeship program in a related field that includes at least six months of formal classroom training that addresses electrical circuit theory, electromagnetic radiation, and other disciplines related to C4ISR installations.\nCompletion of four (4) years of U.S. military service with one of the following technical ratings: a) Electronic Technician, b) Interior Communications (IC), c) Information System Technician, Radioman or Data System Technician\nAn Associates Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Information Technology preferred.\n\n Experience: 2+ YearsAt least two (2) years of experience on U.S. Navy C4ISR installations\n Skills and Proficiency:\nWorks with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and device installations\nRead and understand U.S. Navy ship installation drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and cable running sheets.\nDemonstrate skill in the operation of all commonly used installation hand tools and test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, VSWR meters, Bit-Error Rate Test Sets, and Category 5e/6 cable testers.\nDemonstrate advanced speed and accuracy when performing tasks such as attaching fiber optic connectors, RJ-45 connectors, and DB type connectors, and when dressing cable installations so that the finished product presents a well-organized and professional appearance.\nHave superior skills in complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack and chassis assembly\nHave superior leadership abilities\nSuperior workmanship in a mission-critical environment\n\n Safety and Physical Requirements: (have or obtain the following certifications)\nOccupation Safety Haz-Mat\nShipyard Competent Person\nAloft/Climbing / Climbing Shipyard Stairs and Ladders\nWorking in Confined Spaces\nTraining and the Ability to Safely Lift and Move Objects of 50 LBS\nCardio Pulmonary Resuscitation\n\n Security and Work Locations:\nWork is primarily in San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA but you may travel for extended periods to other shipyards in the USA and to other Navy ports outside the USA\nYou will work at government facilities.
