DescriptionPosition SummaryThe HR Intern supports the Human Resources team with daily tasks and helps with programs that improve the employee experience. This role includes assisting with communication, recruiting, onboarding, HR systems, benefits, employee engagement, training, and basic employee support. This is a great opportunity to learn how HR works in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInternal CommunicationsHelp create and share employee communications like newsletters and announcements Assist with posting updates and keeping employees informed Support HR and leadership with company messages and updates Recruiting (Hourly Positions)Help post jobs and review applications Assist with scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates Support the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience OnboardingHelp prepare new hire paperwork and onboarding materials Assist with scheduling orientation and first-day setup Support new employees to ensure a smooth start HR Systems (HRIS)Help update and maintain employee information in HR systems Assist with basic reports and data entry Support data accuracy and organization Benefits SupportAssist with answering basic employee questions about benefits Help with enrollment and updating benefits information Support HR with open enrollment preparation Employee EngagementHelp plan employee events and recognition programs Assist with service anniversary tracking and celebrations Support initiatives that improve workplace culture Learning & Training (LMS)Help track employee training and completion Assist with uploading and organizing training materials Support compliance training efforts Employee Relations SupportAssist with general employee questions and concerns Support HR with documentation and basic follow-up Help ensure company policies are applied consistentlyRequirementsJob RequirementsCurrently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HR systems is a plus but not required Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others Additional RequirementsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship
