Yard Driver (Weekend Evening: Friday & Sunday 6p-6a and Saturday 6p-4a

Your Role JOB DESCRIPTION As a Yard Driver, you're a key player in Distribution Center operations! Your role includes relocating and positioning of trailers/containers for loading and unloading as well as maintaining organization of the yard. You will work closely with the Operations Supervisor to maintain smooth flow of trailers into and out of the yard.Your ResponsibilitiesEnsure a safe work environment by efficiently operating mechanical equipmentPerform daily inspections of yard trucks and equipment to ensure all are in proper working orderPerform physical tasks while connecting and disconnecting trailers from tractorsManage all inbound and outbound trailers in the yard to maintain organization and proper flow of equipmentMaintain proper certifications to operate required powered industrial trucksEnsure monthly production and quality standards are metBe open to performing other duties as assignedMay be required to flex schedule to meet business needsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to perform basic math skills accurately Must be able to complete paperwork and forms neatly and accuratelyManual dexterity requiredAbility to maintain an excellent attendance and work recordPhysical RequirementsLift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack cartons for up to 12 hours at a timeStand for long periods of time and walk continuously Pull merchandise from multiple levels of shelving or move merchandise as neededBilateral hand coordination, foot coordination and trunk rotationClimb stairs and perform work at platform heights up to 60 feetLift up to 50lbs.
