We are seeking someone who is compassionate and detail-oriented to join our team and support healthcare professionals in providing top-notch medical services to our community.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to, the following)Answers all telephone calls promptly in a polite and professional mannerSchedules appointments for patients and/or routes inquiries and calls as necessarySchedules new patient and follow-upCaptures and enters accurate patient demographic information into AthenaReviews appointment information; date, time, location and provider name with patientReminds patient of MedLink's no call/no show policy when scheduling appointmentsVerifies insurance including MCD/MCR and prepares third party insurance formsMaintains accurate and confidential patient records following HIPPA guidelines and regulationsAnswers questions and offers other information, as requested, to provide patient centered service and a positive impression of our organizationActs as a liaison for the patient and the Patient Service CenterDirects calls to other departments and health centers as neededUses sound judgement in handling callsKnowledge of when to escalate calls Patient Service Center SupervisorImmediately reports issues of complaints and/or irate patients to Patient Service Center SupervisorMakes reminder calls for appointments as requestedMakes calls to reschedule appointments when necessaryProvides assistance to other front line staff, including medical secretaries, medical assistants, providers, et al. as neededPrepares paperwork and clerical duties as necessary for the upkeep of patient records, insurance forms, gathering of statistical information and/or program documentationWorks with Chronic Care Management staff to refer patients as neededMakes calls to patients that have no showed an appointment. Reschedules and/or bills patients that have a no show appointment.Makes calls to schedule patients that are due for annual well checks and/or well child visits.Participate in team and staff meetings as required or requestedOther duties as assignedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE__________________________________________________Preferred graduation from an approved MOA program or technical school business program and one year experience OR high school diploma (or equivalency) AND a minimum of one year related secretarial experience in the health care field or high school diploma (or equivalency) with three years general secretarial experience.Strong verbal and written communication skillsExtremely dedicated in providing outstanding customer/patient serviceExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailSalary: $15 - $15.50 per hourJob Posted by ApplicantPro
