Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Fencing Foil Coach, based in San Diego, CA. The Fencing Foil Coach will be responsible for conducting individual and group lessons, developing personalized training plans, and preparing athletes for competitions. This role involves mentoring fencers of various skill levels, demonstrating high-level techniques, and ensuring a safe and positive training environment. Other responsibilities may include coordinating training sessions, maintaining equipment, and providing performance feedback. Qualifications Proficient in foil fencing techniques and strategies, with prior competitive or coaching experience preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and motivate individuals of all ages and skill levelsExperience in creating structured training programs and organizing practice sessionsKnowledge of safety protocols and ability to maintain a safe training environmentPassion for teaching, mentoring, and contributing to athlete developmentFencing coaching certifications or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not requiredAvailability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsKnowledge in teaching épée is a plus
