Overview:Charge RN, FT, Piedmont Columbus John B. AmosCoordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Qualifications: Education* Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required* Bachelor's Degree PreferredWork Experience* 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required* 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting PreferredLicenses and CertificationsRN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure RequiredBCLS - Basic Life Support RequiredAdvanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) RequiredPALS Certification (Emergency Department) RequiredChemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification - prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology) RequiredNRP by the end of orientation period (Women's Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) RequiredAWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year RequiredPEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital) RequiredPALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) RequiredACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department) RequiredACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) RequiredExperienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification within 30 DaysAddendumBusiness Unit : Company Name: Piedmont Columbus Midtown
