You will mentor and train team members, while following the Preconstruction standards and processes.Your responsibilities will include:Developing accurate, detailed electrical construction cost estimates at progressive design stagesDeveloping associated scope of work clarificationsIdentifying risk items and associated order of magnitudeAssisting with Preconstruction resource managementAssisting with the development and utilization of the Preconstruction processes, standards and toolsAssisting the Pricing Lead and participates in estimate review meetingsContributing to cost savings exercisesAssisting with the development of bid packagesAssisting with the project construction budgetAssisting with Preconstruction-Operations Turnover MeetingsAssisting with Subcontractor and Vendor relationshipsAssisting with project procurement and buyoutCollaborating with Preconstruction LeadershipCollaborating with designers and clientsCollaborating and assists the project operations teamFollowing project construction costs and market trendsParticipating in Preconstruction software development, maintenance and historical costsLeading and training Estimating personnelTraveling as required, 10% - 20%Other duties which may be assigned as neededEducation/Experience:* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or accredited construction-related curriculum (Electrical Engineering preferred)* A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience preferred or 15 years of relevant experience in the construction industryTo thrive in this role, you'll need:Demonstrated electrical estimating experience preparing quantity surveys and cost estimates for all electrical construction scopes of work, requiring complete knowledge of labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costsKnowledge of electrical codes with the ability to utilize at all levels of designAbility to read and estimate from P & ID'sExperience within Industrial markets, including Food & Beverage, Manufacturing & Consumer ProductsEstimating experience with Process & Packaging equipmentEstimating experience with Automation & ControlsProficient with on screen takeoff software, such as Trimble LivecountEstimating software experience required, Trimble Accubid, and Beck Destini Estimator preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsDesign-Build and CMAR project delivery method experienceProven computer skills, including the utilization of Microsoft Office programsRevit/Navisworks experience preferredAt Haskell, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and more.
