Position Overview
The Welder is a key partner in managing the day to day business at the repair station. This individual will ensure smooth and efficient repair processes as well as make serviceable aviation equipment within the boundaries of the company certification.
General Responsibilities
Repair aviation components in accordance with the relevant OEM technical publications and company MOE.
Performing any additional maintenance (re-work), which may not have been recorded on the Work Order and was found unsatisfactory during an inspection.
Abide by all company and aviation authority procedures.
Perform repairs using welding equipment.
Undertake administrative duties with attention to accuracy and timeliness of information
Report discrepancies in a timely manner.
Meet production targets.
Carry out other duties as and when directed, like cleaning containers or pallets etc.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Certification as a welder-MIG or TIG Welding
General knowledge of aviation regulations
Ability to interface with computers
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to read technical publications and drawings
Familiarity with systems within a production environment
Exposure to quality systems
Attention to detail
Competent in the use of hand tools
Excellent communication skills including written and oral English
Flexible, agile, adaptable and self-motivated
Passion for Customer Service.
Some weekend and evening coverage will be required from time to time.
Ability to lift, pull, and push in excess of 65 lbs.
