Trueline's client, a well-established regional paving and construction company, is seeking a Wheelman to join their field operations team based in southern Maine. This hands-on role is critical to the success of asphalt paving projects across the region, offering the chance to work with an experienced crew and reliable equipment in a safety-first environment.What You'll Do as the Wheelman:Operate the wheel on paving equipment as part of a cohesive crew across various project sitesMonitor and adjust machine controls and grade/slope settings to meet job specificationsIdentify and report safety issues or equipment concerns immediately to the foremanLift or maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly and safelyTravel regionally with the crew as needed, including overnight staysWork extended hours in outdoor conditions, often in hot weather, while following all safety protocolsMust-Haves as the Wheelman:3-5 years of experience operating the wheel on asphalt paving equipmentFamiliarity with DOT standards, paving operations, and safety proceduresValid driver's license and reliable transportation (CDL preferred)Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screenComfort with physically demanding labor and extended shifts in the fieldNice-to-Haves as the Wheelman:Experience reading and interpreting MSDS sheetsPrevious work with slope automation or advanced paving technologyCDL license or other industry certificationsOur Client Offers:Steady regional work with a respected industry employerA team-first environment where safety and communication come firstCompetitive hourly pay and overtime opportunitiesAll required personal protective equipment providedTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
