Project Manager - Engineering & Nuclear Projects

Summary:MS Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage complex engineering, construction, industrial, and Department of Energy (DOE) projects from initiation through closeout. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and customer satisfaction.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects within DOE, NNSA, commercial nuclear, defense, manufacturing, industrial, or other highly regulated environments. This position requires a strong leader capable of coordinating technical teams, managing client relationships, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.Location: Onsite in Oak Ridge, TNSalary Range: Depending on ExperienceResponsibilities:Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of engineering, procurement, construction, and technical projectsServe as the primary point of contact for customers, project stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal project teamsDevelop and maintain project management plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registersManage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance objectivesCoordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, operations, quality, safety, and construction personnelMonitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address schedule, budget, or performance challengesIdentify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecyclePrepare and present project status reports, forecasts, metrics, and executive briefingsManage project change control processes, contract modifications, and customer requestsSupport proposal development, project estimating, staffing plans, and business development activitiesEnsure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standardsCoordinate procurement activities, subcontractor management, and supplier performanceFacilitate project meetings, design reviews, customer engagements, and project readiness assessmentsWork closely with technical leads to ensure engineering deliverables support project objectivesPromote a strong culture of safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvementSupport project invoicing, revenue forecasting, earned value management, and financial performance monitoringManage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field7+ years of project management experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, energy, government, nuclear, or infrastructure projectsDemonstrated experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and resourcesExperience leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholdersStrong understanding of project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and risk management principlesExperience managing subcontractors, vendors, and procurement activitiesKnowledge of project management methodologies, controls, and performance measurement techniquesExperience working in highly regulated environments such as DOE, NNSA, commercial nuclear, defense, or similar industriesStrong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting customer expectationsU.S. Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a DOE or U.S. Government security clearanceProficiency with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6Working knowledge of DOE project lifecycle requirements and project controls practicesPMP certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire)Additional Skills:Strong customer relationship management and client-facing communication abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently while leading diverse engineering teamsAbility to manage priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced environmentsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, project management tools, and Unanet ERP systemBenefits:All eligible employees enjoy an excellent benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance, short/long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off including holidays, and tuition reimbursement.EEO Statement:MSTI is an equal-opportunity employer.
