Job Title: Corporate Tax SupervisorJob Summary: The Corporate Tax Supervisor oversees the tax compliance and planning activities for the organization. This role involves managing the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax regulations, and providing strategic tax planning to optimize the company's tax position. The Corporate Tax Supervisor will work closely with the finance team and external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns. Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, and manage audits and inquiries from tax authorities.Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company’s tax liabilities. Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.Reporting: Prepare and review tax provisions and related disclosures for financial statements. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related items.Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the tax team. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.Collaboration: Work closely with the finance department and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on tax-related matters. Coordinate with external tax advisors and consultants as needed.Process Improvement: Continuously improve tax processes and systems. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and organized tax records. Ensure proper documentation for all tax positions and filings.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, MST) preferred.Experience: Extensive experience in corporate tax, including supervisory or management roles. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.Attributes: Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
