About the Position
As an Architect, you will perform a wide range of duties in support of our firm’s goals and objectives.

Organizational Relationships
Accountable to the Office Manager
Takes daily direction from the Office Manager and Director of Architecture
Effectively communicate and coordinate with all Team Members and the entire organization
Primary Responsibilities
In your role as Architect, you will be part of our growing team by performing the functions and duties listed below:
Identifies, through consultation, client’s requirements, approximate budget, timetable, and possible needs for future expansion.
Determines client’s preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other variables.
Attempts to identify through collaboration client’s priorities in terms of needs vs. desires.
Assists clients in defining their priorities and vision by preparing preliminary sketches of options.
Prepares and presents designs, specifications, estimated costs, and proposed construction schedule.
Creates detailed plans integrating engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations; presents plans to clients for review and approval.
Modifies new or existing plans as required.
Prepares scale drawings and contract requirements and submits for bids.
Collaborates with clients to select and award construction contracts.
Collaborates with head builder and clients to facilitate the building process to meet client’s specifications.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience & Certifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required, Master’s degree preferred
5 years of relevant experience preferred
Active board licensure required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge and experience in Autodesk Revit Architecture
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCad, Bluebeam, and Sketchup
Knowledge and/or understanding of project management software
Ability to gain thorough knowledge of the duties, organization, and programs of the firm
Maintain effective working relationships with all team members, clients, subcontractors, and vendors
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision after receiving brief explanations and maintain complex records and preparing detailed reports
Demonstrate personal investment in your career
Energetic and flexible in order to perform in fast-paced environment and resolve challenges
Confident and forward thinking to make moderately complex decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures and to interpret policies and procedures when necessary
Handle multiple tasks under pressure and prioritizes responsibilities
Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills
Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
Occasional air travel required
