New York City (Onsite)Up to $250k base + strong equity.I'm working with a fast-growing AI startup building intelligent agents for one of the world's largest industries: accounting.Instead of creating another chatbot, they're building an AI teammate that works directly inside the tools finance teams already use - automating complex audit and accounting workflows while maintaining the reliability, accuracy, and security these environments demand.Having recently closed a significant funding round, they're growing a small, high-calibre engineering team focused on building production AI systems from the ground up.You'll work on:Building LLM-powered agents that automate complex audit and accounting workflowsDesigning retrieval, reasoning, and tool-calling systems for production useDeveloping evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflowsImproving the accuracy, latency, reliability, and cost of AI systems at scaleWorking closely with domain experts to translate real customer workflows into AI productsShipping product that directly impacts customers from day one.We're looking for engineers who have:Built production AI applications using LLMs, agents, or retrieval systemsStrong software engineering fundamentals with experience shipping backend or full-stack productsExperience designing evaluations, testing AI performance, and improving systems using production feedbackBuilt reliable AI products rather than demos or prototypesEnjoy working in fast-moving startup environments with high ownershipNice to have:Experience with accounting, fintech, audit, compliance, or other highly regulated industriesExperience building document intelligence or workflow automation productsPrevious startup experienceExperience working closely with domain experts to build AI products.If you're excited by building production AI systems that customers depend on every day,not just impressive demos.
