Software (DevOps) Engineer
Overview
In this role you will drive DevOps culture and CI/CD across multi-region SaaS environments. You will build and manage automated deployment platforms, orchestrate containerized microservices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile setting. You’ll shape deployment pipelines, integrate cloud and on-premise systems, and ensure reliable software delivery. This position offers impact in supporting government and commercial clients through scalable, automated software delivery. You will work with a cutting-edge toolchain to accelerate innovation and reliability across teams.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze complex data structures and develop programs for applications across heterogeneous environmentsCollaborate in an agile software development process to enable SaaS capabilities across multiple cloud regionsManage build farm environment and workflow administration using Jenkins and AWSCreate and manage automated build and deployment platform; coordinate code builds, promotions, and orchestrated deployments with Jenkins, Maven, Vigrant and other DevOps toolsDeliver high-quality code meeting requirements and timelines; manage software configuration, build/release processes, and CI/CD orchestrationDesign Docker files and containerized microservices; configure and deploy Docker-based componentsMonitor health of SaaS products with monitoring systems; participate in technical spikes to propose future enhancementsBuild environments for big data, UI, backend batch processes, Windows services, RESTful APIs across Windows and LinuxWrite Jenkins pipelines with Groovy; develop build/deployment scripts using ANT and Maven/VigrantDrive teams and orchestrated deployments using Jenkins, JFrog, Docker and related tools
Key requirementsBachelor or higher in Computer Science or related engineering fieldAt least 3 years of experience in DevOps (CI/CD) technologiesAt least 1 year of AWS cloud platform experienceExperience with cluster provisioning, monitoring, auto scaling, logs and metrics aggregation via DevOps tools and APIsCreation of custom Docker container images and lifecycle managementImplementation of Continuous Delivery pipelines with Docker, Jenkins and GitHubDevelopment of automated Build/Deployment Platform; experience with Jenkins, Jfrog, DockerOrchestrating CI/CD processes with triggers, human input, dependency chains and environments; writing Jenkinsfiles and Groovy scriptsDeveloping build/deployment scripts with ANT and Maven/Vigrant in Jenkins to move across environmentsCollaborative teamworkAdaptability in agile environmentsProblem-solving mindsetAWSDockerJenkins
