At HSC, you belong to a team that is transforming our world.SummaryThe Chemical Process Operator Pre-Apprentice Program will allow new process operators the ability to receive training in chemical process operator fundamentals through Delta College before moving on to a permanent operator role. The Pre-Apprentice will additionally spend time shadowing other operations roles and learning about the HSC manufacturing processes.Successful completion of the pre-apprenticeship training will result in a State of Michigan endorsed apprenticeship readiness certificate. This state endorsed credential is a requirement to move into the registered apprenticeship program and complete the training program through the Associate Operator role.Successful completion will lead to a direct interview for open Associate Operator positions as they become available.Essential Functions Responsible for developing knowledge around operating and maintaining manufacturing assets in a disciplined manner and adhering to all regulatory and site management systems. Responsible for developing technical skills in production operations. Responsible for learning about production communication methods, escalating production issues and troubleshooting abnormal situations. Responsible for developing knowledge of HSC production processes. Ability to work 2-3-2 rotating 12-hour shift once certified in an operator role. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, and education.
