Account Manager
A prestigious New York-based scientific society and scholarly publisher is seeking a full-time Senior Digital Library Account Manager to manage a portfolio of institutional customers for the organization’s electronic subscription products and services.Duties IncludeOversight of a portfolio of institutional library accounts subscribing to the ACM’s publications database of scholarly content products and servicesPreparation of detailed multi-institution price quotes for major accounts and effective, detailed explanation of organization’s various license models and pricingProfessional account management, support and outreach via email, in-person, telephone and other virtual communicationsClerical management of licensing and invoicing procedures and accounts receivables responsibilitiesBasic technical customer supportBasic Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role for a scientific or scholarly publishing organizationFamiliarity with Open Access (OA) publishing, associated rights and licensing, and some knowledge of global OA initiatives and funding modelsPreferred familiarity with large international procurement processesExperience with contract negotiations and management, including editing/redlining/traffickingComfortable with delivering webinars/presentations/demonstrations to audiences both large and smallStrong attention to detail and time management skillsSelf-motivated, team-oriented and positive, problem-solving mindsetMust be comfortable working with dataAbility to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal communication skills Successful candidates would preferably be based in person at the organization’s New York City headquarters, but remote employment candidates with exceptional qualifications will be considered.
