They will assume an intricate role in our team as a principal representative to customers and managing the entire international shipment process from quote to delivery. As an operations leader, they are responsible for maintaining healthy, mutually beneficial relationships with Priority Worldwide's international freight forwarding vendors and regulatory agencies. Attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential qualities. Candidates must be accommodating to different cultures and willing to work with people that may possess few English-speaking skills.Required Skills And CompetenciesMinimum of 5 years of Air Freight ExperiencePrevious Supervisory ExperienceExperience handling DG, Hazmat, and ITAR ShipmentsExperience with Cargowise preferred Excellent customer service skillsWhat You Will DoAt the heart of our business, this person is responsible for timely, efficient, and cost effective movement, routing, occasional quoting of international freight, traffic including customs regulations, documentation preparation, and country regulations. A friendly attitude and teamwork are essential to maintaining healthy vendor relations and interoffice moral.General ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with Priority Worldwide procedures and take appropriate action to correct deficienciesOversee and supervise the day-to-day Air Export Transactions & Air Export PersonnelEnsure Priority Worldwide ethics and standards are adhered to, and that industry knowledge is shared within the export departmentEnsure that all Priority Worldwide's security measures are upheldPromote and facilitate environmentally friendly office/warehouse practicesPromote and ensure a strong team environmentAssistance with procedure creation and efficiency initiativesLead/facilitate exports meetings bi-weekly; To include taking part in sharing information and progress with your department team members, and all other pertinent informationKeep current Certifications up to date like Certificate Export Specialist (CES) and IATA DGR CertificationResponsible for coordinating with the HR Department for Performance Reviews, Disciplinary actions, Training, Onboarding, and management of staffManaging the daily flow of air export shipments inclusive of: Hands on handling of air shipments of all types/ business sectors and service levelsHandling of DG/Hazmat shipments Manage & Audit AES Filings as neededComplete rate/pricing requests as neededTrack cargo and update clients as neededAssignment/Delegation of shipments to appropriate team members, by managing workload and clientele being handled along with understanding the intricate details of each Client and complexity and time involved in handling certain Clients and Service LevelsDirectly oversee and have accountability for all Air Export Transactions and Client interactionLiaison with international and domestic agents What We OfferIndividual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
