With a workforce of more than 13,000 employees, it leverages technology and innovation to modernize federal operations, strengthen national security, and enable data-driven decision-making for mission-critical programs.About the OpportunityThe Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Engineer designs and develops secure, scalable data architectures and pipelines on GCP to support strategic data and workload migrations.This role plays a critical part in modernizing federal data environments and enabling advanced analytics that improve mission effectiveness. The position works across cloud, data, and analytics teams to build reliable data solutions while maintaining strong governance, security, and performance standards.Responsibilities• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub• Optimize data processing and query performance through techniques such as partitioning, caching, and workload tuning• Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and streaming platforms• Migrate legacy data stores and pipelines to scalable, cloud-native GCP architectures• Develop scalable batch and real-time streaming pipelines using Python, SQL, and Apache Beam• Implement data governance, quality controls, and secure access management aligned with federal security requirements• Collaborate with data scientists, cloud engineers, and stakeholders to improve data models, pipelines, and queries• Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline application and data solution deploymentsRequirements• 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or big data processing• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing data pipelines or data solutions on Google Cloud Platform• Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and related tools• Experience developing scalable data processing solutions in cloud environments• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and stakeholders in mission-critical environmentsPay Range and Compensation Package• Pay range of $100,200 to $203,400 USD, depending on applicable state and locationEqual Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
