This role will be located at the construction site near Union City, Indiana and expected to last ~8 months or until the facility is in service. The Lead Electrical Inspector is responsible for overseeing and executing electrical inspections for large-scale industrial construction projects, including carbon capture and storage (CCS), energy, and process facilities. This role ensures all electrical installations comply with applicable codes, engineering specifications, project standards, and regulatory requirements.Serve as the Lead Electrical Inspection authority on assigned projectsCoordinate daily inspection activities with construction, engineering, and QA/QC teamsProvide guidance and mentorship to junior electrical inspectorsReview contractor inspection test plans (ITPs) and electrical QC documentationParticipate in project meetings, including constructability reviews and turnover planningInspect electrical installations.Verify compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, project specifications, and approved installation procedures.Review and approve electrical inspection reports and deficiency logsEnsure accurate documentation for construction completion and system turnoverMaintain inspection records in accordance with project QA/QC requirementsEnforce electrical safety standards and safe work practicesQualificationsCertified Journeyman Electrician (minimum requirement); Master Electrician preferred, with ICC Electrical Inspector – E2 certification or equivalent strongly preferred.Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on industrial electrical construction and/or inspection experience, with demonstrated lead or senior inspection responsibilityProven experience working on heavy industrial or energy-related projects (process plants, power, chemical, ethanol, CCS, or similar)Strong working knowledge of:NEC / NFPA 70Industrial power and control systemsElectrical construction practices for large industrial facilitiesAbility to read, interpret, and inspect against electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specificationsPrior experience supporting commissioning or startup activitiesExperience inspecting hazardous (classified) electrical installationsFamiliarity with contractor QA/QC processes and inspection documentationStrong reporting, documentation, and field coordination skillsAbility to work well with others & independently.
