The Rehabilitation Aide may assist with treatments only when under the direct supervision of a therapist. Refer to Medicare Regulations and state law for the definition of direct supervision.Rehab Tech Major Duties and Critical Tasks:Assist the therapist and assistant in clerical and patient, client, team member related dutiesParticipate in department meetings and in facility meetings as assignedPerform clerical work as directed, including computerized activitiesConsistently attends work and provides appropriate notice for scheduled vacationsAnswer and direct phone callsDevelop and maintain a filing systemAssist with treatment as directed by therapistCoordinate work activities with members of other departments and other staff within the rehabilitation departmentRehab Tech Education and Experience:High School graduate or equivalent.Previous experience in patient/resident care in a nursing center, hospital or rehabilitation center preferred.
