Diocese of Scranton Catholic School System, Inc. Job Description – Diocesan School Tuition Billing Associate The financial function and responsibility of the Diocesan School Tuition Billing Associate position is to ensure the effective financial management of the Tuition Billing component which enables our schools to manage and implement all of our billing operations (through FACTS) within the Diocese of Scranton Catholic School System, Inc. The goals of these financial functions and responsibilities are to provide consistent and accurate financial information through the financial procedures of tuition to fees billing, discounts and credits, collecting payments and pre-payments, and generating a variety of reports and statements within all assigned Diocesan Catholic Schools. The Diocesan School Tuition Billing Associate will perform the following: FACTS (Tuition Management System) A. Implementation: · Set up billing codes · Set up recurring charge and credit schedules · Assess billing (tuition) and all other charges (fees, credits, etc.) · Assess recurring charges · Mass-assign charges · Late-fee assessments B. Tuition Billing: · Handle the receipt and management of tuition and fee payments and credits: - monetary payments made by families towards their accounts - family accounts with scholarships, tuition assistance, and other non-monetary credits - pre-payments · Manage FACTS tuition payments and charges · Contact families / individual(s) with FACTS regarding tuition payments and updates · Tuition assistance process regarding awards · Assist in the posting of all FACTS payments to the General Ledger C. Reporting: · Monthly family account statements · Upon request and standard procedure, generate a variety of reports D. Communication: · Answering telephone calls from parents and schools regarding award process and awards · Contact families / individual(s) with PSAS regarding the tuition assistance application process · Telephone calls from families regarding tuition matters E. Other miscellaneous financial functions and responsibilities Position Requirements / Qualifications: · Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic Church’s mission, vision and values · High School Diploma (or equivalent) or higher educational degree/certificate · Minimum 3-5 years of successful experience in accounts receivable and billing functions · Detail oriented and organized with the ability to multitask · Ability to research and solve problems with minimal supervision · Strong written and oral communication skills required · Computer proficiency required in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (experience with tuition billing programs a plus, especially if experienced in the FACTS program, a Nelnet Company) · Demonstrated skills in the areas of billing, collections and reporting · Must be a team player Interested candidates are asked to submit a cover letter with salary requirement and a complete resume with a minimum of three (3) references by February 6, 2026 to: James Burke Diocesan Secretary for Human Resources 300 Wyoming Avenue, Scranton, Pa. 18503 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
