Business Analyst

Location: Houston, TX Employment Type: W2 / C2C Rate: $45/hour Industry: Banking & Payments (Required)Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the banking and payments industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze processes, and support the delivery of high-quality financial solutions.Key Responsibilities:Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirementsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specificationsWork on payment systems, transaction processing, and banking workflowsCreate user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and process flow diagramsSupport UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure requirements are metIdentify gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvementsCoordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and product managersEnsure compliance with banking regulations and standardsRequired Qualifications:Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the banking and/or payments domainStrong knowledge of payment systems (ACH, SWIFT, wire transfers, card payments, etc.)Experience with requirement gathering and documentation toolsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPreferred Skills:Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similarKnowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, AML, KYC)SQL or data analysis experience is a plusEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field
