Job DescriptionJob Title:Software Engineer – Java Microservices & CloudOverview / SummaryWe are seeking a Software Engineer to design and maintain high-scale platform services supporting identity management, onboarding processes, and device lifecycle operations. This is a hands-on role focused on building secure, resilient, and highly available distributed systems in a cloud-based environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTake end-to-end ownership of software services and supporting platformsDesign and deploy reactive microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate JPA, and KubernetesBuild and maintain high-performance REST and gRPC APIs using Swagger and PostmanRefactor APIs and microservices to improve scalability, efficiency, and simplicityManage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Argo, SonarQube, and FossaFollow Test Driven Development (TDD) and clean coding practicesImplement canary deployment strategies for production environmentsPerform API load and performance testing to ensure system resiliencyMonitor platform health using Datadog, Prometheus, and GrafanaParticipate in anomaly detection and incident diagnostics processesSupport critical applications in a high-availability production environmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams on integration, testing, and issue resolutionParticipate in architectural discussions and solution design sessionsIdentify and adopt new technologies to meet evolving business needsContribute to technical best practices and team efficiency improvementsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in cloud-based development using Java and Spring Boot3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or AzureExperience with Java reactive programmingHands-on experience with microservices architecture and KubernetesExperience with Apache Kafka and PostgreSQLStrong understanding of REST APIs, gRPC, JSON, Swagger, and PostmanFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and practicesKnowledge of cloud security concepts such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SAMLExperience supporting high-availability, always-on production systemsStrong understanding of modern software architecture and cloud computingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldWhat Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your FutureHTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
