Joint Force Operations Planner

Overview In this role you will support joint force missions by evaluating legacy architectures and new technologies for multi-domain operations. You will help design and run mission engineering studies, wargames, and CONOPs/CONEMPs to inform joint planning. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior staff to assess IADS penetration, long-range strike, EW, and JADC2 concepts. You will translate threat insights and operational assumptions into actionable plans that advance joint objectives. ResponsibilitiesSupport Joint-Force Mission Engineering through studies, wargames, and TTXs focusing on multi-domain integrationProvide planning consulting on warfighting disciplines, COA analysis, and strategy development for integrated operationsIntegrate Threat Intelligence to anticipate threat actors and impacts on operationsCollaborate on CONOPs/CONEMPs, metrics, and operational activities across multiservice actionsCoordinate with Warfighter, Joint Staff, and Service Intelligence Centers to support ongoing and future operations Key requirements7 years of operations research focused on mission engineering, systems engineering, or operational analysis5 years in mission planning/analysis including OPLANs, CONOPS, CONEMPS, and defense systems3 years working with diverse teams including engineering and technologists, with exposure to Joint Staff or Combatant Commands3 years of modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A) in defense contexts2 years of experience in military/defense domains (joint ops, combat systems, R&D, S&T)Strong analytic acumen; proven written and verbal communication in a collaborative settingActive Top-Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility, U.S. Citizenship requiredAnalytical thinkingCollaborative communicationAdaptabilityModeling and Simulation (MS&A) techniquesModel-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) familiarityKnowledge of Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) concepts
