Front Desk Reception / Customer Service / Membership Services (Part-time)

Two (2) Positions Available: Part-time, Membership Services
4 hour shift: Monday - Friday, 11am-3pm / 11:30-3:30pm
6 hour shift Monday - Friday, 11:30am-6:30pm, 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Seeking professional and with excellent customer service at reception. Bilingual Spanish a must. Responsible for the intake and greeting of all Club members, parents, volunteers, and guests.
Tasks include but not limited to; answering / routing calls, registration applications via online portal, portal management, payment intake process, filing and data management system, Vision Member Tracking. Monitor/manage flow of pedestrian traffic entering and leaving the building, with special attention to safety at all times.
DAYS AND HOURS REQUIRED
Monday - Friday (September - June)
Summer: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (exact time may vary)
Requirements:
18 + years or older
High School Diploma, Some College or Degree (Associates/BA) preferred
Experience working with children, Boys & Girls Club experience a plus++
Education background in computer and internet systems, data entry or other related field.
Strong Technical skills: proficient in MS Word, Excel and publisher; online registration portal process.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrate ability in working with young people and parents.
Must possess necessary skills to properly instruct and guide youth.
Must be take initiative, be creative, resourceful and motivated
Additional Job Functions:
Greet groups agencies, students and community members.
Be knowledgeable of all programs and schedules.
Greet all visitors, members, and parents with a warm welcoming smile and verbal greeting.
Professional phone etiquette, respectful and polite.
Resource for visitors and parents, when and where appropriate.
Process fee payments, providing completed receipt.
Remain ever vigilant regarding member safety and security.
Thoroughly understand all emergency procedures (Fire, crisis, etc.).
Maintain clean and well organized space/lobby at all times.
Develop and implement a positive and inclusive membership application and fee intake process that informs and welcomes parents; including Club tours, form review, answering questions, and assisting new families as necessary.
Create and provide communication materials to parents, school or community members/organizations.
Type correspondence and spreadsheets, maintain accurate computer records and generate reports, to include: Average Daily Attendance, program activity participation records as it pertains to various grants and funding source
Additional Requirements:
Ability to perform gross and fine motor activities required for typing, writing, simple manipulations such as telephone buttons, computer keyboards, fax machine buttons, etc.
Visual acuity for accurate reading, typing, filing and use of computer screen.
Ability to work at a rapid pace and where frequent interruptions and changes in plans or deadlines may occur.
Hearing is needed for purposes of business related phone communications, public broadcasts, answering incoming calls, etc.
Ability to lift and carry 15 to 50 lbs office supplies, audio equipment , and other items needed for the preparation and takedown of special events.
Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, squat for filing and retrieval of stored files and supplies.
