Site Host

About Integer TechnologiesInteger Technologies turns advanced research into national security technology. We co-locate our offices with the research universities that produce the science we build on — because being close to that community matters to who we are. We’re looking for a Site Host at each of our locations: a part-time role for someone who wants to stay connected to their university’s mission and community. Alumni, faculty spouses, retired educators, parents of current students, current graduate students — anyone with a real connection to the school and a love for the place. You’d be the local face of Integer in your community: keeping our office running, welcoming visitors, helping new employees settle in, and quietly making things work. This isn’t a hobby and it isn’t a coffee-and-mailroom job. It’s a real role with real responsibilities — just structured to fit a life that has other commitments. 20 hours a week, flexible within standard business hours. We expect you to own your site and we’ll pay you accordingly.About the roleAs the Site Host, you are the person who makes Integer’s office feel like a place — not just a building. The work spans four areas:Welcoming and hospitality: You greet visitors, manage the visitor log, escort guests, and make sure people who walk through our door have a great first impression. New employees get settled in their first weeks because you helped them — supplies ready, IT pickup coordinated, lunch recommendations given, the right questions answered.Site logistics: You keep the office stocked, the supplies ordered, the deliveries received, the recycling out, the conference rooms ready. You coordinate with vendors — cleaners, building maintenance, internet, anyone who keeps the space running — and flag issues to the Director of HR when they need attention beyond your scope.People-side touchpoints: You partner with our Director of People Operations on things that happen locally — new hire onboarding logistics, culture events at the site, helping coordinate when someone is moving offices or starting in a new role. You’re HR’s eyes and hands at your location.Community connection: You are Integer’s ambassador to the local university partnership. You help us stay engaged with the school community — events on campus, alumni connections, opportunities for our employees to engage with university programs. You make sure we don’t become “that tech company in the office park” — we stay part of the community we chose.Hours, location, and compensationSchedule: 20 hours per week, flexible within standard business hours. We will work with you on a schedule that fits your life.Location: On-site at one Integer office. You would be hired for a specific location. (Columbia, SC., Baton Rouge, LA., Gulfport, MS.)Compensation: $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience and location.Reports to: Director of People OperationsWhat you'll doThis role is for someone who is organized without needing reminders, warm with people they’ve just met, and calm under small chaos. We’re open about life stage — the right person could be at any of them. The right person probably:Has a real connection to the university near our office — alumni, faculty or staff spouse, retired educator, parent of current or former students, current graduate student, or longtime community member.Wants meaningful part-time work that fits with the rest of their life — whether that means raising kids, finishing a degree, easing into retirement, or something else entirely.Has the kind of capability that comes from doing real work — a previous career, running a household, succeeding in graduate-level coursework, or other experience that taught you how to keep many things working at once.Likes people. You will know everyone at the site by name within a month, and they will all be glad to see you when they walk in.Has good judgment about what to handle yourself, what to escalate, and what to quietly file away as not-your-business.What this role is NOTBeing honest about scope avoids mismatch later. This is not an executive assistant role. You support the site, not any individual leader. This is a part-time role and we mean it. We hire Site Hosts because the part-time structure is the point. If your goal is a full-time job and you’re hoping this converts, this isn’t the right fit. (That said: if you’re a grad student and a different role at Integer makes sense after you finish your degree, we’ll always have an honest conversation about it.)This is not remote. The point of the job is to be at the site, in person, when the office is in use. This is not a security clearance role. We may eventually grow into needing site-specific security responsibilities, but for now, this role is entirely outside our cleared work.
