Video & Digital Media Creator
Fuerza is a team of digital-first professionals who create scroll-stopping content across all platforms. We’re searching for a talented, creative, and trend-obsessed Associate – Video & Digital Media to join our team and help produce compelling content for political, public affairs, and nonprofit clients nationwide. Full disclosure: the bulk of our clients are progressive candidates and causes working towards a more equitable society.
Our ideal teammate will be well-versed in videography, photography, and pre- and post-production. Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Vimeo a must, as well as project tools such as Asana and SocialPilot. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Candidates should be outcomes-oriented, able to work efficiently, capable of taking on multiple tasks simultaneously, and prepared to work with a full creative team. Responsibilities:
Create standout video content
Shoot and edit short-form video optimized for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Pitch and produce concepts that reflect current trends, viral formats, and emerging digital behaviors
Support video production for political, nonprofit, and corporate clients, from pre-production through distribution
Capture compelling visuals
Assist with on-site filming and live event coverage
Shoot basic photo portraits, headshots, and social-ready images when needed (preferred)
Stay ahead of the algorithm
Track social media trends and creatively adapt them for client brands
Identify emerging features, niche formats, and platform best practices
Pitch culturally relevant, high-impact content ideas proactively
Collaborate across the creative + accounts team
Work with designers, editors, and account leads to bring campaigns and concepts to life
Prepare video and media assets for distribution across platforms
Operate with exceptional attention to detail, even on fast deadlines
Support digital strategy
Assist in drafting scripts, storyboards, and content briefs
Help assemble social calendars, media plans, and content packages
Contribute to real-time rapid response when political news breaks
Share a passion for politics
Apply a strong interest in government, campaigns, and civic issues to create content that resonates
Understand the unique tone, sensitivities, and responsibilities of working with public-facing political clients
Bring positive energy and good vibes
Establish Fuerza as a scroll-stopping digital agency: Pitch and create viral content, garnering engagement and metrics previously untouchable for our brands
Stay ahead of the game: Be up-to-date on the latest trends and conceptualize ways to harness the power of digital movements
Plan ahead, change on a dime: Prepare for the unexpected with backup content in case things don’t go as planned (spoiler: they don’t)
Requirements:
1-3 years of relevant experience in video production, social media, digital content, or political communications (internships count)
Ability to shoot and edit video for social media (Adobe Creative Suite)
Up-to-date knowledge of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other new-age platforms
Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
Interest in rapid content creation and fast-turn deliverables
Strong interest in politics and government (required)
Experience with social media software (Hootsuite, SocialPilot, Sprout Social)
Task-oriented mindset (Asana is our tool of choice)
Extreme attention to detail and organization
Ability to produce effectively both independently and as part of a team
Formal education not required
Love for a fast-paced, professional environment
Passion for progressive candidates and causes
Bonus Qualities:
Ability to shoot portrait photography
Campaign experience
Interest in sports marketing, particularly ice hockey
Comfort directing on-camera talent or candidates
Willingness to be the talent on occasion
Ideation of launching a podcast
Salary & Benefits:
Full-time, exempt position
$42,000 - $55,000 commensurate with experience
