Lab Assistant
*Job Title: Lab Assistant/Scientist*

*Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM*
*Description:*
*WIIN Contractor Duties:*
* Monitor WIIN Grant emails for bottle orders and communication.
* Receive and log WIIN grant samples.
* Contact WIIN clients as necessary.
* Notify analysts of WIIN sample issues and WIIN requested turnaround times.
* Track and inventory WIIN supplies and report to the manager.
*Assist other areas at manager discretion:*
* Assist with receiving, logging, and distributing samples
* Dispose of samples
* Learn to clean and prepare semi-quantitative macroinvertebrate samples to sort/pick macroinvertebrates
* Enter quality control into Microsoft Excel
* Enter data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
* Assist in preparation of samples before analysis
* Assist in recording daily checks of ovens, refrigerators, hoods, etc.
* Assist with clerical duties
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.23 - $20.95 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
