Travel RN - PACU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Main PACU position requiring ICU experience and a DC RN license.Job Details• Work in the Main PACU of a hospital setting,• Care for post-operative patients in a Level I trauma center environment,• Requires ICU-level care experience; PACU experience preferred, Preop experience a plus,• 3x12 hour day shifts with various start times between 0700 and 1130,• On-call is required,Job Requirements• Active DC RN license in hand,• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a U.S. hospital required,• Recent PACU and Preop experience required; not surgicenter experience,• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program,• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only),• CPI certification mandated by position,• CPAN, TNCC, and CCRN certifications are highly desirable,• Two professional references preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer,• US Social Security Number required for consideration,• Ability to think critically and work independently,Additional Information• Monitor post-operative patients' recovery and consciousness from anesthesia,• Obtain and document patient vital signs and observe for anesthesia side effects,• Treat pain, nausea, and other post-op symptoms, administering medications as prescribed,• Update EMR, patient files, and medical records accurately,• Educate patients and families on post-surgery care and answer their questions,• No local candidates within 25 miles of the facility will be accepted,
