Software Quality Engineer - E2
Overview:
In this role you drive software quality for make/build software products and related systems. You will implement and monitor software quality programs, conduct audits, and verify requirements, designs, and code against contract objectives. You'll shape test strategies, validate test methods, and ensure reliability standards across software, hardware-in-the-loop tests, and product integration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, align with SDLC frameworks, and support mission-critical software delivery. Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply quality principles across software development and maintenance
- Design and implement software quality programs to meet project and contract requirements
- Plan and conduct software inspection, verification, and validation
- Define audit strategies for process compliance
- Manage requirements traceability and testability verification
- Review specifications, designs, codes, and test artifacts for quality gaps
- Evaluate software quality systems for deficiencies and corrective actions
Key requirements:
- STEM bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience with SDLC and methodologies (SAFe Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Software quality, systems engineering, or software engineering experience in requirements analysis, design/development, integration, and testing
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python, Bash) to verify requirements
- Experience with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence) and MS OfficeUS Citizenship with active Secret clearance; willingness to travel ~25%Independent work capability in complex environments
