MUST BE AVAILABLE T WORK 2:30PM - 11:00pmSummary of Position:The Sewing Machine Operator operates and maintains Adler and Miller Weld Master industrial sewing machines to assemble fabric for ducting production.Roles and Responsibilities:Working with industry experts for production adjustmentsHelping a team of employees manage time and workloadVarious inventory control tasks including paperwork and computer-driven transactionsDisplay good work ethicMaintain professionalism in the workplacePerform any other assigned proprietary dutiesQualifications and Requirements:Proficiency in reading gauges, using tape measures, and read specificationsHigh attention to detailGood hand-eye coordinationActive listening skillsProlonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)Assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs. in adherence with Midwest Hose Safety StandardsAbility to learn and think quicklyEnergetic, outgoing, and positive attitudeGood organizational skillsReliable and dependableTeam-playerAbility to prioritize and manage timeRegularly required to talk and listen; sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and armsMust be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumesCommitment to work additional hours as neededEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED (required)Manufacturing experience (required)2+ years industrial sewing (highly preferred but not required)Bilingual Spanish & English (highly preferred but not required)About Us:Midwest Hose is one of the largest hose and fitting wholesale distributors in North America.
