Access Control TechnicianJob SummaryThis position requires a construction-minded individual. As an Access Control Technician who is comfortable being on a team, traveling nationwide, and working on security gate and fence installations. If you’re a detail-oriented leader with a strong work ethic and experience in the fence industry or any construction, we want to hear from you. This hands-on role requires excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with project managers and field crews. We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering quality results.ResponsibilitiesPositive attitude and willingness to learnPass a drug testEnsure trailers are accurately and safely loaded with materials and tools for daily jobsite deployment.Be a strong teammate on access control and security gate installation projects.Read and follow job plans, blueprints, and specifications accurately.Understand concrete and experience with pouring concreteExperience weldingExperience operating heavy equipmentAble to travel up to 1 week at a timeLearn installation techniques and best practices.Perform low-voltage electrical work, including wiring gate operators and access systems.Ensure work areas and equipment are maintained in a clean, organized condition.Conduct regular maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper working order.Uphold and enforce safety standards on-site.Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by project managers.Identify quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.Stay informed about industry trends, customer behaviors, and competitor activities to identify areas where the company should direct its efforts for growth.Communicate day-to-day progressQualifications2+ years' experience in the construction industry2+ years of field or quality control experience in construction (fence/netting/railing preferred)Experience working with concreteAbility to safely load and secure various materials and equipment onto trailersStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and time managementComfortable working outdoors in various weather conditionsMust be dependable, punctual, and a team playerWillingness and drive to learnStrong multitasking ability with thigh attention to detail and follow-throughDemonstrates leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills - both written and verbalProficiency with computer applications including Microsoft OfficeKey success factors include passion for the industry, self-motivated, strong work ethic, time management, organized, detail-oriented and creativeCritical thinking skillsClean motor vehicle record and driver’s licenseSafety orientedMaintain regular and punctual attendancePerforms other duties as required and assignedBenefitsEmpire pays for employee hotels when traveling as well as $50/day per diem on top of your salary.401k, health, life, vision and dental insurance, PTOProfessional development assistanceSalary: $25-$35/hr#hc173044
