The ideal candidate will have a strong background in motion practice, discovery, and client advocacy, empathy, and a desire to handle meaningful work that blends legal skill with public service. A qualified candidate will be experienced in working directly with clients and able to explain complex information, whether medical or otherwise, in a way that clients can understand. Experience in administrative law or medical-related litigation, and in working with medical experts, is a plus.ResponsibilitiesRepresent petitioners in claims filed under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP).Manage a docket of up to one hundred active cases from intake through resolution, including handling client communications, drafting petitions, filing medical records, drafting briefs, and handling settlement negotiations.Conduct factual and legal research, including medical record review and analysis of expert opinions.Appear before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and work collaboratively with opposing counsel and special masters.Maintain strong client relationships built on empathy, responsiveness, and professionalism.QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.5+ years of litigation experience (federal practice preferred).Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills.Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.Compassionate approach to working with clients who have experienced medical hardship.Why Join UsOpportunity to engage in meaningful, mission-driven work within a unique federal compensation system.Collegial, supportive, and flexible work environment.Competitive salary and benefits.Training provided in vaccine injury law and the VICP process.How to ApplyClick the link to apply directly through BambooHR, and be sure to provide a cover letter, resume, and recent writing sample.Direct applicants only.
