This individual must be able to hit the ground running, bringing strong construction accounting expertise and a proactive mindset. This role will support multiple out-of-state locations and evolve into a regional leadership position, partnering closely with operational and project teams across sites.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all site-level accounting and financial operationsLead and manage construction WIP (Work-in-Progress) accounting processesPartner directly with Project Managers to gather, analyze, and validate project financial dataEnsure accuracy in job costing, revenue recognition, and forecastingProvide financial insights to support operational decision-makingMaintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and reporting standardsSupervise and mentor a team of up to 5 employees across multiple officesAssist in scaling processes and strengthening financial infrastructureRegional ResponsibilitiesTravel expectations:Early phase: approximately out-of-state and bi-weekly travel to build relationships and understand operationsLong-term: transition to monthly travelRequired Qualifications7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including Controller-level responsibilitiesStrong background in construction accountingProven experience with WIP accounting and job costingExperience collaborating with operational/project teamsProficiency with Sage 300 or AcumaticaDemonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple locationsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsCPA designation (preferred but not required)Experience in multi-site or regional rolesPrior experience building or improving accounting processes
