The anesthesia technician will coordinate and provide technical support to the providers of anesthesia in the operating room, assist with the educational development of learners within the anesthesia department, assist with patient care, and maintain and ensure the availability of supplies and equipment.QualificationsRequired:Graduate of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology, or a suitable combination of education and 2 years of experience.Anesthesia Technician Certificate BLS through the American Heart Association Scheduling RequirementsFull-Time Day Shift (40 hours per week)6am – 2:30pmEssential FunctionsAnticipates the anesthesiologists needs when a case deviates from the normal and is able to provide a smooth transitionAssists anesthesiologists with IV/Central line placementAssists the anesthesiologist during patient induction and intubationCommunicates pertinent information surrounding optimum patient care to the appropriate patient care providerEnsures availability of equipment such as pacemakers, transport monitors, cables, oxygen, and infusion pumpsMaintains and cleans anesthesia machines.
